Strawberry season in Mahabaleshwar generally runs from roughly March through May, though exact timing shifts slightly year to year depending on weather conditions. This overlaps with the region's warmer months, when Mahabaleshwar's cooler climate compared to Mumbai and Pune becomes an extra draw on top of the strawberries themselves.

What to Expect at the Farms

Several farms around Mahabaleshwar and nearby Panchgani are open to visitors during the season, offering the chance to pick your own strawberries alongside the more usual roadside stalls selling fresh berries, jams, and strawberry-based sweets and drinks.
